Daniel Damasceno Floquet

Daniel Damasceno Floquet is a PhD student in Literature at Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (FLUP). His current research interests include the representations of violence in contemporary Literature, specifically in the novels of the Portuguese writer Maria Velho da Costa and the Irish writer Edna O´Brien. He has also interest in gender studies, Portuguese and Brazilian Studies and Irish studies in general. Prior to joining the PhD program at FLUP, he received a MA Degree from the same Faculty, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature and Linguistics from Federal University of Ceará.

Originally from Brazil, he has 10 years’ experience as a Portuguese teacher, teaching Literature and Grammar to students from different ages.
