Beatriz Moriano holds a master degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language  at University Antonio de Nebrija (Madrid) and a Hispanic Philological degree from the University of Extremadura. For the past 10 years she has worked as a Spanish Language teacher, first, at the University of Aveiro and as a collaborator at the Cervantes Institute of Lisbon, and since 2010, as a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of New University of Lisbon. At FCSH she teaches Spanish as a Foreign Language (A1-C1, CEFR), Spanish Literature Seminar and Translation Practice in Social Sciences and Humanities (Portuguese-Spanish) to undergraduate students. She also supervises MA dissertations.

She is a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Ana Gonçalves Matos. Her research interests include Second Language Teaching, Intercultural Communication, Materials Development and Teacher Training.
