Gabriela Gāndara Terenas

Gabriela Gândara Terenas is a member of the teaching staff of the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures of FCSH, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where she has taught several first degree courses and masters seminars in areas such as English Literature and Culture, the History of England, North-American Literature and Culture, Translation Studies, Cultural Studies and Anglo-Portuguese Studies. She is a member of the Board of the Centre for English, Translation and Anglo-Portuguese Studies (CETAPS), and a member of several research projects, coordinating the British Culture and History Research Group which studies the relationship between Science and Culture in Britain in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She has taken part in many Conferences and Colloquia both at home and abroad, including several in Spain, Britain, France, Germany and Brazil, and has published a number of works in Portugal and abroad in the fields of Anglo-Portuguese Studies, Studies of Culture, Media Studies and Translation Studies.
