The STEAM Tales project is designed to transform the landscape of STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) through the power of storytelling and hands-on experiments in order to boost pupils' interest - particularly girls - in STEAM topics and potentially STEAM careers in the future.
The Portuguese Vegetarian Society was founded in 1911. Its monthly periodical, O Vegetariano: Mensário Naturista Ilustrado, directed by Dr. Amílcar De Sousa and published uninterruptedly between 1909 and 1935, had a community of over 3.500 subscribers. All periodical items, besides other related research and outreach outputs, are indexed in this searchable database.

TAM-bMOOC stands for ‘Transforming Assessment Mindsets: Professional development through a blended MOOC and an e-Community of Practice’, which is a research project coordinated through CETAPS, FCSH, Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
NEW FACES, “Facing Europe in Crisis: Shakespeare’s World and Present Challenges”, is a European Strategic Partnership that aims to promote historical and literary understanding of the complexities of crises (cultural, linguistic, political, social, religious, and economic), to help face a complex contemporary European context.
Cross-Cultural Discourses: Portugal, Britain and the Press
The principal aim of the Project is to carry out a critical analysis of the discourses of the twentieth-century Portuguese and British press to assess how far the confrontation of different narratives and portrayal strategies can contribute towards the study of intercultural relations between the two countries as well as assisting in (de)constructing the many cultural images which have played a role in changing and hierarchising the two cultures.
Bridges between Fictional Narratives and Science in the 21st Century (BFS21) is a research project founded in January 2020 developed by CETAPS’s Research Strand Culture, Science and the Media.

Towards an Integrated Bilingual Model – IBmodel is an Erasmus+ project for educational innovation in the field of bilingual education/Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) coordinated by the Santos Mártires de Córdoba Foundation and involving the Universities of Porto and Córdoba, and the Eurolingue network of language schools in Sicily. Working CLIL members Maria Ellison and Andrew Sampson are involved in this innovative project.
