The CETAPS Digital Lab is a centre dedicated to the implementation, study and sharing of digital tools and resources that can help researchers and the community in general in a variety of ways. We are also developing projects in the most different strands of the Digital Humanities and we are always opened to new ideas, projects and collaborations.

Our mission is to conceive and develop digital innovation with a humanistic vision. Our projects cross-education, culture and creativity, public information and civic life, always with social inclusion as a priority. We perceive transdisciplinary collaboration as an aesthetic and scientific research experience. All our activities bring together faculty, researchers, professionals, specialists, and students, with the ultimate goal of translating knowledge into tailor-made solutions for our partners.
Since the 1990s, the Institute of Contemporary History (IHC) has been developing activities, projects and research in the field of Digital Humanities. In 2019, we were able to formalize the creation of the Digital Humanities Lab (DH_Lab) associated with NOVA-FCSH of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.
DH_Lab’s mission is to provide an interdisciplinary space where knowledge in the Arts and Humanities can converge with methodologies from the Computational Sciences. The Lab’s team will focus on training and skill building and supporting researchers; leading and collaborating in research projects. Other activities include organizing scientific events and pursuing national and international collaborative projects.
